Ford Warranties

Protecting your new Ford

A vast amount of design, engineering and expertise ensures that every new Ford vehicle delivers.

To make sure your new Ford continues to deliver to your business expectations, we have developed a new vehicle warranty programme for new vehicles to minimise down-time.

All valid information on the warranty terms and conditions can be found in the service portfolio that comes with the respective vehicle.

Below is a brief overview of the warranties every new Ford vehicle benefits from.

Base Warranty

Every new vehicle benefits from a Ford Base Warranty that is operated through Ford Authorised Dealers. This warranty covers any part of the vehicle that requires repair or replacement as a result of a manufacturing defect. The part will be repaired or replaced completely free of charge by any Ford Authorised Dealer, regardless of any change of vehicle ownership during the warranty period.

The warranty starts on the date of registration of the vehicle.

Paint Surface Warranty

This is an additional warranty that covers the paint surface of the vehicle. If the paint surface of the vehicle requires attention due to a manufacturing defect, the necessary repairs will be performed completely free of charge by any Ford Authorised Dealer.

Corrosion Protection Warranty

If any part of the original bodywork of the vehicle is perforated by rust corrosion from the inside or underside as a result of faulty manufacture, the panel(s) affected will be repaired or replaced by any Ford Authorised Dealer, completely free of charge. However, surface rusting due to any external factor, such as stone chips, is not covered.

Repaired or Replaced Parts Warranty

All genuine Ford branded parts fitted during warranty repairs are covered for the balance of the original warranty period.

Wear and Tear items

This covers two types of parts:

Scheduled maintenance items, such as spark plugs, filters and drive belts, which have a limited service life and are replaced or adjusted during servicing and are covered for the period of the base warranty.

Wear and tear items, such as wiper blades, xenon headlamp bulbs, remote control handset batteries and general adjustments to brakes are covered for the period of the base warranty or up to the vehicle’s first service.
